Facial Rejuvenation/Facial Scarring

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is used for treatment of fine lines, wrinkles, dark circles and/or puffiness of the eyes, saggy skin, and for brightening, tightening, and smoothing skin.  For those with facial scarring, such as acne scars, PRP can be used with fat transfer or subcision to re-plump areas that lost volume.  Subcision surgically releases the pulled down portion of the scar within, inducing the body’s healing response to create blemish free skin cells.  Combined with fat transfer and PRP, the process softens the appearance of depressed, rolling scars.

PRP is a blood plasma that contains growth factors. Blood is collected, processed, and then re-administered causing regeneration of fibroblasts and keratinocytes. Stimulation of fibroblasts results in the growth of collagen and stimulation of keratinocytes and helps protect the cells that make up the layer of skin, hair, and nails from damage or stress. PRP promotes local tissue growth and repairs damaged tissue, which continues to grow for up to one month after injections.

PRP treatment is natural and non-toxic and there are no adverse or allergic reactions. PRP treatments can be performed independently or in conjunction with Fat Transfer injections, Derma Fillers, Collagen injection, Botox, Fractional Laser, Micro-needling etc.
